Deborah E. Hecht, G.G. has been a successful independent wholesale jewelry rep for a period of 18 years. Prior to that, she owned 4 retail jewelry stores in Hawaii and San Francisco, for which she bought, sold, traded and bartered as a daily practice. Deborah holds a BA degree as well as a teaching credential from San Francisco State University. She graduated from The Gemological Institute of America and has sold equipment for Gem Instruments.
For the last 10 years, Deborah and Timothy Rhodes (Hecht-Rhodes Inc.) have been a wholesale Repping team known for their creative and innovative selling methods. They have traveled their territory in an RV while homeschooling their daughter. Recently both expenses and danger levels have increased. Strong relationships, however, with their large retail customer base inspired them to look for new solutions i.e. to continue to safely introduce product to the American retailer using new technological methods. This journey has brought them to the development of the V-BYtm process and since 2007 they have successfully done just that with applause from their customers. A "green" process that is capable of enhancing business for both the wholesale and retail divisions of our industry.
